Overview

WonderEnd is an upcoming psychological horror game by Lunime that will be released in the future and will be available on Android, PC, and iOS. This game is going to be recommended for mature ages due to disturbing images, dark imagery and suggestive themes. Judging by the rumors, the main character is supposed to be a child called Lito. The game will be released after Gacha Life 2 and it's unsure what or if anything will come after WonderEnd.

Development and WonderEnd0

WonderEnd has been in development since 2021.
Although several animated clips Merutoro10 had posted on his channel since August 2017 had been heavily related to WonderEnd, it was first properly hinted in mid-2020, when the website was first put up in July 2020. In 2020, it had very little content, however, it had a following message:

Hello there.
Congratulations on finding this website. This world is currently being created. Please wait until the time is right to enter. You will wonder what this world will bring. How many endings will you reach? That will all be answered in WonderEnd.
Goodbye.

In October 2021, the website was finally updated, confirming the game is in development.

During Christmas of 2022, Luni had made an announcement, that due to WonderEnd being a big game, the developers have split the game into two parts which are WonderEnd 0 and the focal and original project, WonderEnd itself. WonderEnd 0 will act as a prequel to WonderEnd and will be first to be released with 000 as the main character and your job is to not get caught by phantasmas, there are 5 mini games equal for now. WonderEnd 0 was originally going to be released during Febuary 2023 but was delayed due to test bugs and glitches. As for WonderEnd, there is no information about its release date.

On April 1, 2024, Luni announced the continuation of WonderEnd0's development and a new possible release date for it. At the end of the same month, the WonderEnd website got updated, which features new character artwork, more manga pages and a fan kit. Luni also released promotional images for the prequel to the public, thus slightly teasing gameplay of the upcoming game.

On May 29, 2024, a mysterious photo was posted on the official Lunime Instagram page, depicting a zero, excerpted from the WonderEnd 0 logo, with a note saying 'COMING SOON'.^[1] A short video was posted the next day which features Rabi, one of the main characters of the said game.^[2]

On June 6, 2024, a teaser video for WonderEnd 0 was released on Merutoro10's YouTube channel.^[3]

Plot

Not much is known about WonderEnd's plot. However, looking at certain pieces, it is most likely about Lito entering the world of Sunily, where there are phantasmas whom try to kill humans and possibly outlanders, and exorcising the phantasmas and then trying to return to the ordinary world. WonderEnd0 is about 000's life and to exorcise/stay away from phantasmas, according to Luni. The two descriptions are from the 2021 WonderEnd website.
It's been noted that in the old WonderEnd website's Japanese version, the translation was wrong and, when translated to English, shown an entirely different story rather than just a few minor inaccuracies.

"One day, Lito was walking home from school when she wandered in to a mysterious world. Many creatures of different shapes and sizes live there, the city of Sunlily. Monsters are attracted to Lito's scent, and try to attack her. But she is rescued by an exorcist, Rein.
Lito explains her situtation to Rein and wishes to return to the world she's from. The princess Yume of Sunlily, prevents Lito from leaving this world. Will Lito find a way to return home? Why does Yume wish to capture Lito?
The mysteries will be revealed in WonderEnd." (English)

"One day, Lito fell into a hole on her way home from school. When she wakes up, she finds herself lost in a mysterious world called Sunlily City, where various-looking creatures live. Lito is attacked by a monster while she is lost, but he is rescued and meets Rein there.
Rein finds out about Lito's circumstances and tries to help her return to the world she used to live in. However, in order for Lito to return to her original world, it is necessary to collect five star-shaped dream fragments. Knowing that, Rein and Lito start searching to collect the pieces of the dream. Sunlily City's princess (Yume) covets such a Lito and tries to obtain it in every way possible. Will Lito be able to return to the original world safely? And why is Yume trying to get Lito...?

000 will return in this game. This is confirmed by 000 when you defeat him.
From their Twitter they seem to release a mini-manga which features some characters from the game. Yuni appears in the 1st page, Rein appears in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th page, Neon and Merupo are shown in every 2nd page, “Dia” (The casino girl) and Lado both only appear in the 3rd page, Nei appears in the 5th page and Lito appears in every manga, and is also the first character to appear. The first 6 pages can be seen in the gallery below.
This is the first horror game that Lunime is going to develop.
