Gacha Story is an upcoming mobile visual novel creator that will be published by Lunime in April of 2025 for Android and iOS devices. It is entirely developed by Charlotte, and features a rather discrete character template.

New information about Gacha Story comes out every Saturday until the game's release on Lunime's official Instagram and Facebook pages.

The first ever mention of Gacha Story comes from an official post published on February 19 2025, announcing the game's approximate release date and some further details about the upcoming project. It is further mentioned that Gacha Story will be a game that will let the player create his own visual novel and share it with others. The post also features Water Fairy and Wind Fairy in an art style very distinct from previous dress-up games. To avoid confusion from the community, it is clarified that the game is entirely worked on by Charlotte, as Luni is busy with his own projects.

On March 1 2025, another social media post was published by Lunime, showcasing the main menu of Gacha Story. It is said that there will be a chance to export your own stories, import others' into the game and check out top creations on the 'Featured' page. The photo attached to the post features Oni-Chan on the left side of the menu and Avenger Reed on the right side.

A post showing off character customization capabilities was published by Lunime on March 8, 2025. It further exclaimed that there will be an opportunity to choose from hundreds of hair styles, accessories and outfits when designing a character. Due to this, the developer shared one's excitement to see players recreate their own original characters from titles such as Gacha Life and Gacha Club. The post also two snapshots from the game's customization menu, in which Charlotte and Vinyl are pictured.

On March 15 2025, Lunime posted another social media post which first mentioned the story creation aspect in Gacha Story. A screenshot of the 'My Stories' screen from the upcoming game was shown, underlining the ability to organize the stories one has created, check their statuses and read them directly from the menu. It was also noted that the players will be able to export one's stories in order to share them with their friends, and import them from other creators.

On March 22, 2025, Lunime announced that there will be a chance for players to upload their own custom characters and backgrounds from the phone's camera roll to Gacha Story, highlighting the fact that it is the first time a Gacha game is able to do it. Moreover, there will also be an opportunity to set six different emotions for one's uploaded characters. Usalina's Gacha Club portrait was used to showcase this feature.

Another social media post, regarding story creation, was posted by the developer on March 29, 2025. It mainly focused on the process of writing the story, starting with choosing a scene type and ending with adding background music and sound effects. To bring on excitement, it was exclaimed that the possibilities will be endless in the upcoming game.

The scene editor of Gacha Story was showcased by the developer on April 5, 2025. The social media post dedicated to it wrote how the player will be able to add up to three characters in one scene, change their position, size and rotation. Moreover, it was noted that special effects will also be present when editing a scene as a way to "make it more epic". Five days later, the game was put on the Google Play store for pre-registration and approximate release days for Gacha Story were announced.
