If you don't remember me, I was a fandom member from a bit back who caused havoc on this wiki. I'm not even close to being the same person anymore from a cringe teen phases. I owe an apology as well! I would love to see my OG friend members greet me as well as some new members. ^^

Hey guys, I decided to quit posting here entirely. I'm just so tired of posting too little art that I might just quit drawing and posting forever. I will always appreciate the ones who supported me. Goodbye, I hope to see you again in the future!

Story:
Shirousui-no-Kami, the radiant water goddess of Japan, emerged from the confluence of Minoan and Japanese mythologies. Her origins trace back to the ancient shores of Crete, where she was born as a Naiad nymph, daughter of Poseidon and the sea goddess Amphitrite.
As a young nymph, Shirousui-no-Kami possessed extraordinary beauty and power over fresh and saltwater alike. She could command rivers, lakes, and even the vast oceans with graceful gestures. Her affinity for water mirrored that of the Minoan deities, who were closely associated with springs, rivers, and the sea.
Guided by divine winds, Shirousui-no-Kami journeyed across the seas to the islands of Japan. As she arrived on its shores, she was greeted by the local kami, who recognized her divine nature. The Japanese gods were struck by her Minoan features - flowing dark hair adorned with seashells, eyes as deep and blue as the ocean, and skin that shimmered like sunlight on water.
Impressed by her mastery over water, Amaterasu, the sun goddess, bestowed upon Shirousui-no-Kami the title of "Queen of Rivers and Seas of Japan". This elevation transformed her from a nymph into a full-fledged kami, granting her immortality and expanding her dominion over all of Japan's waterways.
Shirousui-no-Kami embodied both the nurturing and destructive aspects of water:
As a life-giver, she blessed the land with pure, crystal-clear springs and bountiful rivers teeming with fish.
In her wrathful form, she could summon devastating tsunamis and floods to punish those who polluted her waters or disrespected the sea.
Like the Minoan deities, Shirousui-no-Kami was closely associated with sacred trees, often appearing near ancient pines or magnificent sakura trees by the water's edge.
Shrines dedicated to Shirousui-no-Kami were built near bodies of water across Japan. Fishermen, sailors, and farmers alike sought her blessings for safe voyages and abundant harvests. During the annual Shirousui Festival, people would float paper lanterns on rivers and lakes, carrying their wishes to the goddess.
Shirousui-no-Kami's unique blend of Minoan and Japanese characteristics created a rich tapestry of myths and legends. Her story exemplifies the cultural exchanges between ancient civilizations, reminding us of the universal reverence for water deities across different mythologies.
To this day, Shirousui-no-Kami remains a beloved figure in Japanese folklore, watching over the nation's waterways and inspiring respect for the life-giving power of water.

New design:
The old design was cute, but since she’s a kid I didn’t like how much her legs showed. I also made a few stylistic changes to fit my preferences. No hate to original artist though!
