Vinyl is a character mentioned in Gacha World, but only appearing for the first time in Gacha League. He is the older brother to DJ Lyte and the original keeper of an Ultimate Record fragment until an encounter with DJ X left him gravely injured. He was originally created by Luni.
In Gacha League, his special attack is "Rhythmic Trance". His leadership skill is "Auto-Tune".
In Gacha Club, he appears as one of the main antagonists with the name 'Shadow Vinyl' in story mode and is a playable battle unit.
Shadow Vinyl[]
Shadow Vinyl is as of now, the final boss in the story mode, and the 5th shadow boss in Gacha Club. There is almost no resemblance from this Vinyl to DJ Vinyl, apart from the record necklace they both have and the almost all black clothing. Vinyl's lore from Gacha League[]
"An aspiring DJ who has recently opened up his own club, named Club Vinyl. He has a younger brother named Lyte. He has secretly founded the MIXGEAR organization, yet is still trying to figure out the truth behind these devices. A piece of the Ultimate Record is hidden in the pendant on his necklace."
Vinyl's lore in Gacha Club[]
Vinyl suddenly vanished from the Gacha World. Presumably after being comatosed by X. Vinyl is the first person to ever experience 'Shadow Corruption' and was the one responsible for all the chaos in Club Gacha and Usakage. It is possible he corrupted hundreds, if not, thousands of creatures, however the 4 main people he corrupted were Lith, Merupo, Phantom and Neon.
Vinyl is in search of the Ultimate Record, as he wanted a host to corrupt with, however Usalina managed to sneak away with it whilst Neon and Merupo defended her. It is unknown how the Ultimate Record was put back into one piece, considering Vinyl had a piece of it.
In 'The Shadow Record (3-6-1)', Vinyl is given what was called 'The Shadow Record'. A record formed from the souls of shadows, this was later used to absorb his 'minions' into the record and gain astronomically higher power, despite Neon saying he can eradicate a world in 1 blow.
